Johnny Manziel might become a star quarterback in the NFL one day. But before that happens, he's going to have to start from the bottom like his good pal Drake. The bottom of the QB depth chart, that is.

The Browns may have selected Manziel 22nd overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. But Cleveland owner Jimmy Haslam has spoken with him already and told him that he needs to start acting "like a backup quarterback." Haslam also told the media that Manziel is "not the starter" earlier today. "Johnny's the backup," he said.

Is he telling the truth, though? Or is he just trying to motivate Manziel, who will compete for the starting QB job with Brian Hoyer this season? That's TBD. But either way, Manziel is going to have to earn the starting job and prove that he can play in the NFL before the Browns hand him the keys to their franchise. Get ready for the ride.
