Mayor Bill de Blasio has set out to get rid of all traffic fatalities in New Yorkby 2024. But judging by the police in this video, following around the cycling group Critical Mass is more important. A cyclist busts out a radar gun to show his stalkers NYPD officers they could be busting speeders instead. He even delivers a sick burn: "We'll let you know how fast they're going. If you guys want to enforce the law that's cool."

Things start to get chippy between the cyclists and 13th Precinct Deputy Inspector David Ehrenberg, but Critical Mass has a right to be pissed. The 13th Precinct has only issued seven speeding tickets this year. Fast cars kill a lot more people than bicycles, and the NYPD needs to shift its priorities and stop wasting time if it actually wants to make the streets safer.
