If the season ended today, who should be awarded the NBA MVP trophy? At this point, the two front-runners are probably Kevin Durant and LeBron James. So, with that being said, which guy is most deserving of the hardware? Well, if you ask LeBron, he's going with Durant. According to writer Ethan J. Skolnick, 'Bron 'Bron had some pretty positive things to say about KD.

LeBron on Durant: "I would say he's the most consistent player as far as MVP this year."

And that makes sense, considering Durant just had his streak of 25 points or more snapped after 41 games. But King James didn't stop there. Here's what LeBron told Joseph Goodman of the MiamiHerald:

I think K.D. has had one heck of a season, and if he was rewarded with the MVP, it would be great. It would be awesome for him, for his family. It would be a great thing for him. He has played MVP-type basketball.

So, should we just go ahead and give Durant the trophy or what? Anyway, this just seems like LeBron saying, "KD, you won the battle, but I'm going to win the war."
