Kevin Ware had to sit out this regular season after reaggravating his leg injury. It's a shame, but the good news is he'll be able to bypass the NCAA transfer rules and play in his first year instead of sitting it out at his new school: Georgia State.

Although it's not official yet, Ware will transfer from guard-heavy Louisville to the Georgia State to be closer to his hometown of Atlanta. His mother Lisa Junior confirmed the news.

Georgia State isn't quite at Louisville's level, but it's far from a lackluster program. The Panthers finished last season 25-9 overall and 17-1 in the Sun Belt Conference. Their season was bookended by loses in the conference tournament and the Postseason NIT. There's certainly room to built, and there's certainly room for Ware to solidify himself as a star.
