Up for sale is a KITT replica from the TV show Knight Rider. But this isn’t your average replica, it’s David Hasselhoff’s personal KITT tribute car.
The car was built by a fan of the show, Jennifer Catano, who ended up giving the vehicle to Hasselhoff. The overall transformation of the 1986 Pontiac Firebird is well done, complete with scissor doors and KITT’s iconic front lighting. Up close, some of the buttons don’t look quite right, but from afar you can bet that most casual observers will think its the real deal.
The dashboard and steering wheel are both custom-made, and hide a soundboard complete with over 4,000 clips and sound effects from the show. Performance comes via a 5.0L V8 and an automatic transmission.
