The UW-Milwaukee Panthers didn't have a great season this year. They went 21-13 overall, but in the Horizon League, they were just 7-9 and finished in the middle of the pack behind teams like UW-Green Bay, Cleveland State, and Wright State. So right now, they should be packing up their lockers and getting ready for the offseason.
However, that's not what the Panthers are doing. Instead, they're packing up their lockers and getting ready to go to the NCAA Tournament on Thursday to face off against the Villanova Wildcats. It won't be easy to beat their Big East foes. But they'll get the chance to do it thanks to a surprising run through the Horizon League tournament last week. And they're happy to have the opportunity, to say the least.
