It took less than a season for the Brian "White Mamba" Scalabrine to be reassigned by the Golden State Warriors. Head coach Mark Jackson was at the head of the decision. On the other side, Warriors ownership and management have supported Scalabrine and his performance at his new gig.

It is immediately unclear what kind of a role to which the Warriors will transition Scalabrine, but management has no intention of letting him leave the organization. What's crazy is that Scalabrine was Jackson's choice as an assistant coach. For two straight years, Jackson has had issues with assistant coaches that he hired. Former assistant Michael Malone and Jackson would reportedly go weeks without speaking to each other last year. Malone left Golden State to become the head coach of the Sacramento Kings.

This could be big for Jackson. He has one year left on his contract, but his job has come under fire within the Warriors organization for how he has run the team and worked on the job. This could dramatically alter the trajectory for a Warriors franchise on pace to head to their second playoff appearance in a row after years of ineptitude. Let's just hope Scalabrine isn't forced to deal with the same fate that Lawrence Frank faced recently.
