It looks like the Los Angeles Lakers are no longer interested in Carmelo Anthony, according to Mike Bresnahan of the L.A. Times. "The Lakers are not interested in possible free agent Carmelo Anthony, who claims he won’t break the New York Knicks’ bank to stay with them," Bresnahan said. Instead, the Lakers are determined to not overpay for a player like Luol Deng this offseason, in an effort to save up for Kevin Love in 2015 and Kevin Durant in 2016.

As you may have heard, an anonymous NBA general manager claimed that there's a "100 percent certainty" that Love will end up in Los Angeles when his contract is up. So there's that. Now, can the Lakers convince Durant to leave OKC and head to L.A.? There will be plenty of time to speculate about that. Stay tuned.
