Black Monday was bad enough, but Tennesee Titans head coach Mike Munchak couldn't avoid the ax coming down from the Titans brass. Munchak compiled a three-season total record of 22-26 and did not take the team to the playoffs at all in his three seasons as head coach.
Munchak finished with a 2-20 record against teams that have finished seasons with a winning record. General manager Ruston Webster made a statement on the team letting Munchak go:
None
That is essentially formal franchise talk for a firing, which is unfortunate for Munchak who probably took a deep breath on Monday when he wasn't let go on Black Monday.
