Yup, Volkswagen has still been making the Kombi, better known as the VeeDub Bus, in Brazil. Advances in technology and safety regulations be damned. Despite strong continuing sales in South and central America, regulations are finally putting the Kombi down. There is, however, a movement in Brazil to pas an exemption to the airbag laws solely for the Kombi.

The plant, however, has already shut down. As such, this is the last VW Kombi, and it was purchased by the VW factory. It will remain on display there as a testament to the near-universal love of this car.
