Just eight days after completing his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substance policy, Kellen Winslow was charged by East Hanover, N.J. police with possession of Fubinaca, a synthetic form of marijuana, on Nov. 19. However, the criminal complaint wasn't signed until Dec. 30. Yesterday, Winslow appeared in court for the third-degree offense, which could result in up to five years in prison, if convicted. Meanwhile, the New York Jets kept their response to KW's charge, "We are aware of the situation," a team spokesperson said Thursday, to the New York Daily News. "This is a pending legal matter and we will have no comment."

Winslow will become a free agent in March, but that's probably the last thing in his mind right now with this possession of a controlled dangerous substance charge going on.
