Jim Caldwell Is Now in Charge of Fixing Whatever Is Wrong With the Detroit Lions

On paper, the Detroit Lions should be one of the best teams in the NFL. They have a quality quarterback in Matthew Stafford. They have one of the most talented wide receivers ever in Calvin Johnson. And they have a defense that includes Ndamukong Suh, who was recently voted one of the scariest players in the league in a poll conducted by ESPN.com. What they don't have, though, is anything to show for it. Sure, the Lions made the playoffs in 2011. But outside of that, they haven't been to the postseason and haven't enjoyed any postseason success.

In an effort to try and fix that, the Lions fired their old head coach Jim Schwartz late last month and just agreed to hire their new head coach Jim Caldwell:

Will he be able to lead the Lions to the promised land, though? We'll just have to wait and see…
