The Los Angeles Clippers have been hit by the injury bug in a very serious way. Starting shooting guard J.J. Redick is out for extended time with a broken hand, and reserves Matt Barnes and Reggie Bullock are dealing with various ailments.

Now to help add some depth to their ailing roster, the Clippers have signed veteran Stephen Jackson. Jackson hasn’t played in the NBA since he was released by the Spurs in April. The move came just days before the start of the 2013 playoffs. A disagreement between Jackson and coach Greg Popovich over Jackson's role and decline in minutes led to the eventual release.

Jackson should provide the Clippers with solid range on the perimeter and spacing on the floor. He's also been a solid team defender throughout his career. One still has to wonder if he will pout again when all of the injured Clippers return to their original roles and he ends up receiving less minutes.

Jackson posted the signing on Instagram and seems to be happy to be making his return to the NBA after some time away.
