Wins have been very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very hard to come by for the Knicks so far this season. Over the course of the last month, it feels as though they've found every single possible way to lose games. And yet, they almost managed to find yet another way to do it last night during a double overtime game against the Bucks.
With less than 20 seconds to go in the first OT of the game and the Knicks leading Milwaukee by two points, Carmelo Anthony took an awful, contested shot that clanged off the rim with the shot-clock expiring. However, the Knicks were able to grab an offensive rebound and throw it back out to Andrea Bargnani at the top of the key. Ball game, right? All Bargnani had to do was hold onto the ball, get fouled, and knock down his free throws. Except, well, that's not what he did. Instead, he caught the ball, squared up towards the basket, and shot the ball. Yes, HE SHOT THE BALL! With the shot-clock turned off and the game in hand, Bargnani shot the ball!
His shot missed, the Bucks secured the rebound and called timeout, and they were eventually able to tie it up and send the game into double OT. And Knicks fans were not happy with Bargnani:

Fortunately, Bargnani's major gaffe didn't cost the Knicks the game. They were able to rebound—both figuratively and literally—and win 107-101 in double OT. But if you thought the timeout issue in the Knicks game against the Wizards the other night was bad, then you need to see the clip above.
