After their flight was delayed leaving Gainesville, the Florida Gators basketball team, including their coaches and staff, needed special accomodations to make it to Connecticut. Being the kind, helpful souls that they are, Delta allegedly cancelled another flight headed to Atlanta and told the passengers that their plane was experiencing "mechanical difficulty." They then moved the Gators onto that flight, but the thing about airports is that they have windows and at least one of the passengers could see the team jacking their plane.

According to the Gainesville Sun, a Delta spokesman said that airline apologized to the passengers and made other arrangements to get them to their destinations, but not until someone had already missed a funeral. Oops? Good thing the Gators won that game! Oh wait, no they didn't.
