Another huge blow for Brooklyn.

As if things couldn't get any worse for the Brooklyn Nets. Today, word has gotten out that Brook Lopez suffered a broken right foot, which means he is done for the season. In a year where Paul Pierce and Deron Williams have battled injuries, Kevin Garnett hasn't looked anything like himself and Joe Johnson has been hit or miss, Lopez was the only stalwart in the much talked about starting five. It goes without saying that Lopez's team-leading 20.9 points and six boards per game will be greatly missed.

Through it all, the Nets are only 2.5 games out of first in the terrible Atlantic division. But can they step up without Lopez? Stay tuned.
