adidas Unveils brazuca, the Official Match Ball of the 2014 World Cup

Here it is, folks. With the 2014 FIFA World Cup only six months away, there's no better time to get soccer fans hyped up than unveiling brazuca, the official match ball of the tournament, today. Back in September 2012, one million soccer fans took a public vote on what the ball should be named and "brazuca" came out on top. The word, which means "Brazilian," is "an informal local term...to describe the Brazilian way of life."

As for the colors and overall six-panel design, the ball is used to "symbolize the traditional multicolored wish bracelets worn in the country in addition to reflecting the vibrancy and fun associated with soccer in Brazil."
