On Monday night, Dwight Howard played his first game in Los Angeles since leaving the Lakers over the summer. And despite the fact that the game was against the Clippers and not the Lakers, Howard did not get a warm welcome from the L.A. fans in attendance. They booed him mercilessly and let him have it every chance they could. And according to TMZ, one fan even threw a basketball at Howard's head at the end of the game and almost got arrested for it.

Er, sort of. As it turns out, the fan did not throw the ball at Howard's head intentionally. But he did accidentally hit Howard in the head when he attempted to ask him for an autograph after the Rockets/Clippers game by handing Howard a ball. The ball slipped out of his hand and hit Howard in the head, which prompted the Houston center to call the cops on the guy. In the end, the cops reviewed some surveillance tape of the incident and let the man go without placing him under arrest after seeing what had happened. But it doesn't sound like there's a whole lot of love lost between Howard and the city of Los Angeles right now. So tomorrow night's Rockets/Lakers game should be epic.
