Eastern Michigan Football Player Demarius Reed Was Found Dead Early This Morning

A tragedy involving a college football player reportedly took place sometime late yesterday or early this morning in Ypsilanti, Mich.

According to Eastern Michigan University, one of their football players, wide receiver Demarius Reed, was found dead at his off-campus apartment at around 7:15 a.m. today. The Ypsilanti Police Department has not released many details surrounding Reed's death. But they have confirmed that they believe Reed was the victim of a homicide. They have also confirmed that Reed was found by his roommate and that they are looking into any and all possible leads concerning his death.

The YPD has announced that they will reveal more details about Reed's death later this afternoon. We'll be sure to let you know about them when they become available. In the meantime, say a prayer for Reed's friends and family.
