Diego Costa announced that he will play for the World Champion Spanish National Team. Costa holds Brazilian and Spanish passports, has written to the Brazilian Football Confederation stating he wants to represent the world champions.

This season, Costa has been in superb form for Atletico. Costa is the top scorer in La Liga with 11 goals after 10 matches. If he is selected, Costa could make his Spain debut on November 19th in a friendly match against South Africa.
