We were floored when we found out that the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 was going to cost $514,000. Now we're double floored, because Mercedes and Texas Armoring is also offering an armored version for people who are even richer, and more likely to be attacked by gunmen. No doubt, this will prove to be very popular in the Middle East.
The armor adds half a ton of weight to the vehicle, bringing the total up to five tons. Needless to say, this probably handles more like a military or commercial vehicle than a hotted up SUV, but we still want to play with it.
