Brett Favre is not coming back to the NFL to play for the Rams. And it's not just because they're, well, the Rams. He's not coming back because, at this point in his life, he's already suffering enough as a result of playing professional football.

During a radio interview, Favre just admitted that he is currently suffering from memory loss. That shouldn't really come as a surprise, seeing as how Favre was sacked 525 times during his NFL career. But it's still sad to hear that Favre might be dealing with some pretty serious health issues for the rest of his life.

"I don't remember my daughter playing soccer, youth soccer, one summer," he said during the interview. "I don't remember that…I think after 20 years, God only knows the toll that will be taken as time goes by."

It's scary to think about what could happen to Favre. If he's suffering from memory loss now, just three years after playing his last NFL game, what is life going to be like for him in 10 or 20 years? We hope for the best. But this sounds like a story that we've heard all too often in the past.
