Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is reportedly going through a heartbreaking situation right now.
According to TMZ, Peterson's 2-year-old son is in critical condition at a hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. at the moment after allegedly being abused by a 27-year-old man named Joseph Patterson who is dating the boy's mother. Police have reportedly charged Patterson with aggravated felony assault and battery of an infant after responding to a call on Wednesday evening and finding the young boy unresponsive at Patterson's home. He reportedly suffered head injuries as a result of abuse.
Peterson was not at Vikings practice yesterday and is believed to be at the hospital with his son right now. We're obviously hoping and praying for the best here and will be sure to keep you updated if any other news breaks concerning the health of Peterson's son.
