Andy Murray Lost in Straight Sets at the U.S. Open Today

So much for a repeat.

So much for winning the U.S. Open again...

Last September, Andy Murray won his first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open and followed it up by winning at Wimbledon this summer. But earlier today, Murray got absolutely shellacked by Stanislas Wawrinka in straight sets. He lost 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the Open and will not get to try and win his second Open in a row.

Things actually went so poorly for Murray that he cracked his racket on the Arthur Ashe Stadium court after the first set of the match. It just wasn't his day. Oh well. Maybe next year, man.
