With the last round of NFL cuts approaching, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins was looking to earn his spot on the team last night in the Niners' game against the San Diego Chargers. With this TD he may have done enough to do just that. On this pinball play, Hawkins keeps his concentration enough to come down with the tipped ball, then hops over one defender, shakes off a couple others, and streaks down the sideline and into the end zone. Will it be enough for Hawkins to see some regular season action in San Francisco? Maybe, maybe not. In any case, it isn't likely that the defensive backs he stiff-armed will be making the San Diego squad any time soon. Gotta wrap him up there, guys!
