Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing unauthorized apparel during this past Monday night's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Griffin wore a T-shirt with the words "Operation Patience" on it while warming up before the game. He did not play in the game as he is still working his way back from a surgically repaired right knee.

Griffin wore his full uniform during the game, but the NFL requires players to follow their uniform rules during the pre-game as well. Griffin was previously fined last season for wearing adidas clothing at a postgame news conference last season. The NFL has a deal with Nike.

Hopefully adidas can reimburse RG III for all of these fines he's racking up for wearing their clothing when he's not supposed to.
