Is LeBron James going to get someone in the Miami-Dade Police Department into big trouble?
According to TMZ, the police escort that King James received on his way to the Jay Z/Justin Timberlake "Legends of the Summer" show on Friday night was not authorized by anyone. Normally, if someone needs a police escort to an event, they are required to make a written request for it. However, LeBron didn't do that and was given an escort anyway, meaning someone out there didn't follow proper protocol when it comes to giving a celebrity an escort. And that could lead to some discipline.
As of right now, the Miami-Dade PD is looking into the matter. But it sounds like next time LeBron is going to have to wait his turn in line with the rest of us.
