During tonight's game between Indiana State and Indiana, the Sycamores' Carlos Aviles laid out Shane Wynn as he attempted to retrieve a punt. Under college football's targeting rule, which basically punishes anyone who purposely targets a defenseless player, Aviles hit was deemed illegal and he was ejected. This is only the second time a player has been sent off since the rule was put in place.
Indiana got the better of Indiana State, winning 73-35.
