Anyone still excited forAlex Rodriguez's return to the Yankees? Anybody? Well, kill the excitement because it's looking like A-Rod is going to be suspended for a long time on Monday. He's looking at being banned until the end of the 2014 season.

Commissioner Bud Selig said he will no longer negotiate with Rodriguez, so the situation is almost completely out of the Yankee's hands. Rodriguez effectively killed his chances when he told reporters he would not negotiate even though his attorney's were looking for a deal. Selig got angry, which is a bad sign going into Monday.

Rodriguez is expected to appeal if he's suspended and file a greviance if the MLB decides to not let him play, but at this point all of this drama is getting tiring. With the MLB's massive amount of evidence linking him with the Biogenesis scandal, it's looking like a wrap for A-Rod.
