If the Los Angeles Lakers wanted to keep Dwight Howard on their team for the future, they just needed to do one thing: let Kobe Bryant go. According to ESPN.com, Howard and his representatives informed the Lakers front office that he would "have a difficult time re-signing with the team if Bryant stayed with the franchise beyond the 2013-14 season, the final year of his contract." This news shouldn't come as a surprise considering Howard has always wanted to be the main guy but was never going to assume that role as long as Kobe was around.

Anyway, if these reports are true, really, Dwight?! Go to the organization behind Kobe's back instead of approaching the issue head-on? We know KB can be an intense dude, but c'mon man. The least Kob' can do is verbally break you down and pull your heart out right in front of you, like that scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. That's all.
