Still wondering why Derrick Rose didn't play a single second for the Bulls last season? Yesterday, he talked to the Bulls official website, and he revealed exactly why he opted not to play at all during the 2012-13 NBA season. Specifically, he said that he had to be "selfish" in order to make sure that he rehabbed his ACL injury properly.

"I'm not a selfish guy at all," he said, "but having this injury and going through what I had to go through and being smart, it's something that I had to be selfish with. I couldn't worry about anyone else but myself and my health."

He also explained why he was able to practice but not play during games last season.

"When you're in practice, it's not in game-type speed," he said. "Game-type experience is totally different."

Fair enough. Now get off his back, okay?
