The Brewers Are Handing Out $10 Vouchers to Say Sorry to Fans After the Ryan Braun Scandal

It'll cost them almost $4 million.

It sucks is a great time to be a Milwaukee Brewers fan! Sure, your team stinks this year. Sure, you just lost one of your best playersRyan Braun for the rest of the season due to a performance-enhancing drugs scandal. And sure, the only thing you have to look forward to this fall is the return of the Bucks, who won't be anywhere as good, er, decent as they were last NBA season. But you've got $10 coming your way!

To thank their fans for their patience this season—and to try to make amends for the Ryan Braun scandal—the Brewers just announced that they are going to be giving away a $10 voucher to each and every person who attends a Brewers home game during the month of August. Those vouchers will be good for food, merchandise, and even game tickets in the future. It'll cost the team almost $4 million total. But hey, it's the absolute least they could do after what they've put their fans through this season.

"We wanted to do something to show our appreciation," Brewers owner Mark Attanasio said in a statement earlier today, "and we will strive to provide the best fan experience possible."

They obviously can't do that with the product that they're putting out on the field. So they're attempting to do it with some cold hard cash. Not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all. You hear that, Astros, Marlins, and Mets?!
