Normally, strapping explosives to one's body makes the likelihood of death skyrocket, but in this particular case, it actually makes the explosive laden person significantly safer. That's right, BMW and Dainese are working on motorcycle armored suits that also incorporate airbags for when a rider is impacting the ground.
BMW Motorrad teams will use the new tech this year, and a street ready version is planned as well.
