NBA experience: 11 Seasons (2002 - Present)
Teams played for: Phoenix Suns (2002-2010), New York Knicks (2010-present)

A combination of back and knee injuries over recent years has forced six-time NBA All-Star and former Rookie of the Year (2003), Amar'e Stoudemire, to take more of a backseat role then he would probably like at this stage of his career. In what was supposed to be the beginning of the revitalization of the New York Knicks, STAT joined the orange and blue in 2010 and famously decreed, "the Knicks are back!"

After starting off strong, including setting a franchise record of nine straight 30-point games during his first year with the Knicks, Stoudemire has since taken second chair to Carmelo Anthony. While STAT was hampered again with injuries during this season, he did provide the Knicks with some minutes off the bench down the stretch and into the playoffs. Whatever his role is going forward, and whether the power forward will ever be "healthy" again, doesn't take away from his worthiness to taste the ultimate NBA prize.
