Aaaaaaand this is why everyone loves to hate on Heat fans!
Last night, with Heat trailing the Spurs by five points with about 20 seconds left to go in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, there was a mass exodus of Miami fans who left AmericanAirlines Arena early. They literally walked out on their team, despite the fact that many of them shelled out hundreds of dollars in order to attend the game and despite the fact that they have LeBron James on their side. And by the time the Heat rallied to tie the game and send it to overtime, many of them were already outside of the building. So they were not allowed to re-enter the arena in order to watch their team win.
As you can see in the video here, many of them made the most of it by hanging around outside and cheering for the Heat from a distance. But yo, this was such an epic fail on so many different levels. We could see if the Heat were down by, like, 30 with two minutes left in the game. Then, by all means, leave! But you do NOT take off when your team is only down five with less than 30 seconds to go in the NBA Finals, regardless of how dire things look. So if the Heat win Game 7, we hope that none of the people pictured in this video show up for the championship parade. They don't deserve to be there.
