It sounds like Gilbert Arenas was planning one hell of a Fourth of July party!
According to TMZ, the former NBA star was pulled over in Los Angeles at about 2:30 a.m. today for speeding. And when a police officer approached his Ford pickup truck, he noticed that Arenas had lots and lots and lots of illegal fireworks stashed in the back. In fact, TMZ is reporting that he allegedly had about 100 pounds worth of fireworks in the truck at the time.
Arenas was booked on a misdemeanor possession of illegal fireworks charge and was also cited for speeding and driving without a license. He was released without bail at around 6:45 a.m. but will have to make a court appearance at a later date for the fireworks possession charge. Watch him get arrested in the clip above. Oh, and if you were planning on attending his Fourth of July bash next week, bring your own fireworks!
