The concept of trading an NBA head coach was weird to begin with, but now it looks like we definitely won't see such a thing happen. The Doc Rivers to Clippers trade deal is off again, but there's a sense of finality this time. Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Rivers himself is no longer interested in joining the Clippers:

The original proposed deal would've brought Rivers and Kevin Garnett to LA in exchange for DeAndre Jordan and two first round picks. Clippers wanted to add in an additional second round pick on Friday despite Celtics president Danny Ainge's request for another first rounder.

The fact that Chris Paul wanted to play with Rivers may have the Clippers' front office sweating a little bit. Hearts may be broken come free agency season.
