What's 50 grand to a %&*^@$# like Darrelle Revis? Apparently nothing, because a new report out of Tampa Bay indicates that Revis Island just paid $50,000—yes, $50,000!—to his new teammate Mark Barron in exchange for the jersey number 24 that he's worn his entire career. Of course, Revis did just sign a six-year, $96 million contract with the Buccaneers earlier this year. So we're guessing that he's good for it.
But damn. Is the right to a jersey number really worth all that?!
