We hope he learned his lesson.

Free at last! Er, or something like that…

Just one week after a judge sentenced him to 30 days in prison for slapping his lawyer on the butt during a court hearing (no, really!), Chad Johnson has received a reduction in his sentence. Earlier today, the football player formerly known as Ochocinco made an appearance before the same exact judge—Judge Kathleen McHugh—and apologized for making a mockery of her courtroom.

"I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time," he said. "I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom."

This time, Judge McHugh had mercy on him. She did still extend his probation through October—and he will still have to perform 25 hours of community service and visit a domestic violence counselor twice a week for the duration of his probation—but he won't have to spend the next three weeks of his life locked up. Now please (PLEASE!) stay out of trouble, Chad. Something tells us you do not want to make this judge mad again.
