Volvo Is Putting Its Delivery Trucks On A Diet

They are slimming down for city use.

Volvo's Truck division has unveiled a new line of slimmer, more nimble delivery and garbage trucks. The Swedish manufacturer said the trucks are designed specifically for use in ultra-urban environments in Europe and Asia.

The new models, called the FE and the FL, will also feature enhanced driver visibility and upgraded interior features, including ergonomic seats with integrated headrests.

"Drivers often climb into and out of their trucks many times on each shift. That's why we've focused on creating a comfortable, convenient driver's environment with good visibility in every direction," said Claes Nilsson, President of Volvo Trucks, in a statement.
