Will this prevent CP3 from leaving?

Guess Chris Paul and Blake Griffin didn't want the Clippers to keep Vinny Del Negro as their head coach, eh?

While no one within the organization would ever admit this publicly, the Clips reportedly just fired Del Negro after one of the best seasons in the history of the team because Clippers players weren't on board with him anymore. Specifically, it sounds like CP3 and BG probably told the front office that they don't want to play for Del Negro moving forward. And even though there's no guarantee that Paul will even be back next season—he will be a free agent this summer—the Clips likely see this as one way for them to prove that they want Paul running the show again next season.

Otherwise, why else would you fire a guy who just led your team to a franchise-best 56 wins during the 2012-13 NBA season? Oh...

Nevermind.
