With Jay-Z snatching up promising, high talent players, like Geno Smith and Skylar Diggins, these other agents gotta be worried about getting dropped out of nowhere in an effort to sign with Roc Nation Sports. That's probably why Rob Gronkowski recently decided to toy with the emotions of his own agent Drew Rosenhaus. In an interview with SportsCenter earlier today, Rosenhaus explains the cruel joke Gronk played on him just after having surgery for his forearm infection.
“Typical Rob. As soon as he woke up, he joked, ‘Hey, I’m firing you.’ I said, ‘What?’ He said, ‘Yeah, I’m letting you go. I’m going to hire Jay-Z,’ ” recalled Rosenhaus.
Good one, Gronkowski. Sometimes, even a powerhouse agent like Rosenhaus needs to feel a little shook to make sure he's always on his toes. But seriously, Rosenhaus should sleep with one eye open because Gronk is young, talented, marketable and has a cool nickname. Basically, everything Hov looks for in a client. Just saying.
