For only the second time in Consumer Reports history, a car received a rating of 99 out of 100. It's the highest a car has scored, as no vehicle has ever been given the coveted perfect 100 score. The guys at CS said the Model S "is brimming with innovation, delivers world-class performance, and is interwoven throughout with impressive attention to detail."

The group was thoroughly impressed with the car's 200-mile range, the quick charges, the planted feel of the long battery, and the attractive interior, which is centered around that giant 17-inch center screen. They also said it's "easily the most practical electric car we’ve tested." Looks like we've finally got an electric car that's going to make a significant difference ... for people with money, at least.
