For those of you unfamiliar, American Ninja Warrior is a spinoff of Sasuke—which is a television series that features a wide variety of contestants competing through four stages of harsh physical challenges in hopes of winning the title of Mr. Ninja Warrior (and a large sum of money of course). Since seeing a winner is rare, a lot of viewers take joy in watching the gnarly wipeouts that occur on the show (Schadenfreude anyone?)
Would ex-linebacker Shawne Merriman stand a chance on this show? We'll just have to wait and see when he competes on season five of American Ninja Warrior. He announced his future participation on Twitter:
I can't wait to compete on Season 5 of #AmericanNinjaWarrior this summer going to be crazy
Hopefully this fares better than his stint with the Bills. Then again, that's not setting the bar too high either.
