Wheels have not gotten the same attention that the rest of the car has when it comes to aerodynamics and fuel efficiency. Yeah, a lot hybrids do have those weird wheels that are more aerodynamic, but the brake cooling sucks on those things because there's barely any air flow.

Enter eVOLVE Hybrid Wheels which not only look like a much more normal set of wheels, but also significantly boost a car's fuel economy. In testing a Ford Focus managed to gain 0.4 mpg city and a noteworthy 1.1 mpg bump on the highway. The company already has one auto manufacturer set up to offer the wheels and is in talks to get more OEM deals.

Truck wheels are in the pipeline.
