The one-off McLaren X-1, which was officially unveiled at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concourse D'elegance, is a delicious combination of supercar performance and concept-car styling.

Recently, Hong Yeo, the car's designer, told Complex that he wanted to "create a supercar that you can take to the opera, and just imagine what a superhero would drive in his off hours to get to a fine restaurant in his regular social life."

This weekend, the X-1 made a rare public appearance, surfacing in a hotel parking lot in Bahrain. Our guess is that the owner probably shipped the car for the 2013 Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix.
