8:30 AM: Police have reportedly identified the Boston Marathon bombing suspects. They're brothers, and they are Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19. They're originally from Russia. The younger brother is the suspect that is still on the loose.

Late last night, just hours after the FBIreleased photos of the two suspects who authorities believe were behind the Boston Marathon bombing on Monday afternoon, police were involved in a wild firefight with the suspects. It resulted in one of the suspects being killed. But almost the entire city of Boston is currently on lockdown as police continue to search for the second suspect in the case.

The shootout between the suspects and police started very late Thursday evening after the suspects reportedly shot and killed a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer in his car on the campus of the school. A short time later, the two men stole a car at gunpoint and then tried to outrun police as they gave chase, while throwing explosives at the police and trading shots with officers. Eventually, the officers in pursuit were able to shoot one of the suspects, who was later pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital. But the second suspect escaped on foot and is currently on the loose.

The second suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are currently going door-to-door in the Watertown section of the city searching for the suspect. We will continue to provide you with additional updates on the case as they become available.
