Throughout its history, the National Championship game has altered a lot of careers. One of those players is Bill Walton, one of the most skilled big men of all time who in this game unleashed perhaps the single greatest individual effort in NCAA Tournament history. His 21-of-22 shooting performance from the floor capped a perfect 30-0 season for UCLA and delivered his team and legendary coach John Wooden their seventh consecutive national title. We can, however, say that Walton wasn't quite perfect; he only hit two of his five free throw attempts.
