"The Dream" was one of the craftiest, most athletic big men ever to play basketball. After being mentored in the ways of the low post by Moses Malone at a young age, Olajuwon developed the kind of silky touch around the rim normally reserved for smaller guards. His patented "Dream Shake" fall-away jumper remains one of the most unstoppable shots in the history of the league. Not bad for a guy who only started playing basketball at age 15. He dominated on both ends of the floor, averaging 21.8 points per game for his career while also becoming the league's all-time leader in blocked shots and the only center to rank in the top 10 all-time in steals. His exceptional footwork at and around the basket led to numerous easy points for Olajuwon, whose meticulous nature ensured that his game would never slip even as he battled injuries late in his career.
