Say what you want about Carmelo Anthony's current on-court struggles with the Knicks, the dude is still a legend at Syracuse University. Melo was crucial to the Orangemen's 2003 National Championship Run–a season where he averaged 22.2 points. Needless to say, he's remained an offensive force in the NBA.  Today, Carmelo visited his alma mater to watch as Syracuse retired his jersey at halftime during its final Big East meeting ever against Georgetown. This was done in front of the largest on-campus crowd in college basketball history.

He got the honor even though he played only one year of college basketball. Now that's swag.
